The numerous possibilities for unequalled gliding offered by the slopes and mountains, as well as the great thermal and wind conditions in the Bovec area, are probably unique and can hardly be found elsewhere, especially within such a small territory. Mt. Kanin, Planja and the Mangart Saddle are all easily accessible and offer great take-off points for flying that can last for hours and cover great distances above the Julian Alps.
