Notice to Guests

The Slovenian Infrastructure Agency has begun work to stabilize the rock slopes above the Kluže Road on Route R1 203, Section 1002 (Predel–Bovec), from km 12.600 to km 12.750; as a result, traffic arrangements will be modified due to the construction work.

Work will be carried out under a complete road closure from October 5, 2026, to December 24, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Work will also take place on Saturdays. After 2:30 p.m. and all day on Sundays, the contractor will not be working, so traffic will flow under a partial road closure, which will be regulated by traffic lights.

During the complete closure, the detour will be Bovec–Vršič–Kranjska Gora–Rateče–Predel and back. If the detour via Vršič is not possible (due to snow, avalanches, etc.), there will be no closure in Kluže.
