Alpine skiing on Kanin
The KANIN – SELLA NEVEA ski centre is the top international ski centre in the broader region. By construction the new cable car and ski slope, the KANIN in SELLA NEVEA ski centres merged. A single ticket is valid for the entire connected KANIN – SELLA NEVEA ski centre and access is posible from both Slovenia and Italy.
BASIC INFORMATION ON THE CONNECTED SKI SLOPES:
The connected ski centre is also the highest ski centre in the wider region, with a long skiing season that can last until the beginning of May. The ski slopes at higher altitudee never freeze and provide quality skiing on exclusive natural snow for most of the winter. This is the winter side of the fairytale in the heart of Slovenian Alpine world, located on the south – eastern edge of the Alpine mountain range and close to the Adriatic Sea.
The pistes will range from 2,300 m a.s.l. on the Slovenian side to 1,100 m a.s.l. in the valley on the Italian side. While the Slovenian side will offer sunbathing and views to the Gulf of Trieste, the Italian side on the northern slopes of Kanin will invite you to experience a winter fairytale.
LIFTS:
12 devices including the longest gondola lift in Slovenia take skiers from the Bovec valley (436 m) to the central part of the ski slopes (2,200 m).

Pistes:
The pistes range from those suitable for beginners to those challenging enough for World Cup qualifying. Altitude: from 2,300 m to 1,140 m Piste length (combined total): 30 km
