Freeride skiing

Freeride is a kind of skiing, snowboarding or telemark skiing that takes one back to a time when ski lifts did not exist and people enjoyed skiing across “virgin” terrain. Nowadays, this kind of skiing is much easier, since we do not have to wade through snow for hours just for a short, half-hour descent.

On the contrary, if conditions are good, one can enjoy off-piste skiing all day long. Ideal terrain awaits only a couple of turns from the maintained ski slopes of Kanin– but watch out – for those who don’t know this karstic terrain full of deep shafts, an experienced guide is highly recommended.
